Name: Leifr Vardr Wolfe
Age: Unknown (Looks to be 18-19) Celebrates his birthday on New Years day.
Gender: Male
Species: Faunus (Siberian Husky)
Symbol: A white full moon with a single black snow flake in the center.
Occupation: 1st-year student at Beacon, ranch-hand on Rouge Ranch (accidentally discovered that he naturally excels at herding).
Appearance: Leifr, despite the circumstances of his child/young-adulthood, looks like any other male faunus. At 5'10, 145 lbs., he is a handsome young-man with smooth skin (save for his callused hands and rough feet) and gentle eyes. His particular breed of faunus, leaves him with a long, soft, fur-like, snow-white mane on his head and is accompanied by two pointed, dog-like ears. It also is the reason for his black eyes.
Wolfe wears a simple long sleeve, gray shirt and black shorts with a white belt visible where he tucks his shirt in in the front. For footwear, he wears a pair of black moccasins since they provide a much softer sound when moving around than regular shoes. A very much needed tactical advantage when hunting for food to survive.
History: The earliest Leifr can remember is the figure of his father setting him down in the snowy forests of Patch before looking around and running away. No more questions answered though. What age was he? Why was he left alone? He was a toddler, barely able to walk or speak, left alone in below freezing temperatures and it was getting dark. The boy called and cried but no one came. He walked through the white forest, looking for help of some kind; an adult-anyone who could help him find his mamma; his father. No one was around not a single soul-...but then there was a growl...
Leifr froze and looked to the source to find a young wolf cub. It had just set down its prey of a rabbit to eat when the child emerged from behind a tree. Leifr watched the young pup as it looked up at him and he fell back. Leifr cowered. He had never been alone against a wild animal like this before! What was he to do? But, as the boy cried, lost, confused and threatened, the wolf lowered its guard. It backed away, seeing the young faunus crying like that. That was not the look of someone with someone around to guard him and clearly was of little threat, as he would have attacked and tried stealing the meal already if he wanted to, and the pup lowered its head, beginning to whine and weep as well. The two looked at each other, and it dawned on Leifr that the pup must be alone as well. What wolf pup hunts by itself? No mother or pack to feed it? Could it be the wolf was in the same position as him?...
Without exchanging any words either could understand, they formed a pact of survival for each other. Both knew they would not get by without each other and Leifr seemed to be much more similar to him than the others of his kind...Maybe this could work out? It had to.
So they made it work. In order to survive, they did everything together. They hunted together, they ate together, one kept watch for the dangers of Grimm and larger animals alike as the other heeded natures..calling, and they even cuddled together as they slept to stay warm. Eventually, they grew and so did their prey. They hunted just as they lived and grew up, in Wolf-fashion, taking advantage of one-another's position to run quarry right into a trap. Leifr had found a budhuna-style kukri machete on a dead wanderer and an old over-under double barrel shotgun in a hunting shack which made everything much easier and their days more efficient. By this time, Leifr and the wolf (since named 'Vermundr') have become as inseparable as brothers. Leifr long ago had even searched around the few settlements on the island of Patch to try and find information about where he lived or if anybody knew his parents but all he found was odd looks when someone bumped into him and he greeted the man by growling at him and even barking when the guy asked, "what's your problem, brat?" Needless to say, Leifr and Vermundr failed and returned to the forest where they felt they belonged, and so they remained until years later. Until he showed up.
It was not hard to smell a human travelling through the wilderness when they did. Usually because their blood always ended up everywhere and the Creatures of Grimm were never much for eating their prey. When Leifr and Vermundr arrived, they had not expected to see much but, to their surprise, whoever it was was still alive but cornered by a pack of beowolves. What could they do but help? If they attacked, all that would happen is the man's fear would attract more Grimm to the scene. So, gesturing to Vermundr for a flanking tactic, the two readied themselves. Just as one of the Grimm lunged, Vermundr leapt out and bit its arm. Just when the creature raised its arm to remove the wolf, Leifr jumped out and shot it in the back before emptying the other shell at another coming in for an attack and then disposing of the final two with his kukri and the help of Vermundr. Turns out, not only could the man they saved have disposed of the threats himself, he could have done so almost without even trying. A huntsman and even a professor of Beacon, visiting his family on the island. Intrigued by the two survivors, he offered
