Name: Cassandra Marthe Quetzal
Age: 18 (DOB: 9/29)
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Symbol: A happy mask with a single, pointed-tooth on the top right side of the mouth.
Occupation: Third-year student at Beacon. Do-er of various odd-jobs.
Appearance: Ms. Quetzal, without her terrifying weapons, does not really hold a threatening look to her. At 5'5 and 117 lbs, she has a small-stature and, if it weren't for her larger breast-size, her facial appearance and natural expression would suggest that she were a mere large child. The way her brown, lower back-length (bottom-length when let down), hair is worn in a messy ponytail, her protruding tooth and her blue eyes only add to her childish appearance. Cassandra's outfit is one modeled after the Quetzal bird. Her teal dress is worn over top of a dark-red and white undershirt with her emblem on the front. She wears a pair of simple, teal slippers and a green belt and decorations are also loosely put on to complete the outfit.
History: At the age of three, Cassandra had to be adopted into Sonny's family and was raised as a daughter. She is a cousin to Sonny, and Asche, Schwartz but they are more like brother and sister because of her upbringing. As she started to grow up, she began showing aptitude for combat. Quickly taking advantage of that, Cassandra was immediately given training with a weapon by her aunt and uncle. Now much older, she attends Beacon for the third year to become a huntress and, because of her unique personality, has won herself many life-long friends and connections.

Personality: Cassandra is a playful, spitfire, child-like girl who many find to act almost insane. It seems like it would be impossible to make her frown. She has feminine qualities and an overall girly way of carrying herself but she also sort of acts like a tomboy at the same time and has her fair share of masculine tendencies. A favorite pass time of her's is doing anything to get a reaction from someone, especially with her favorite way of doing it, sneaking up on people and startling them out of nowhere.
Strengths: Her lack of vehicle and...well..sanity has driven her to free run everywhere she goes. This, and her naturally-high amount of energy, gives her a large amount of mobility. The flexibility of her weapons and style allow her to adapt to many different situations. Her friendly, innocent personality has made her friends around Vale as numerous as the Rouge's are in family and this has given her many opportunities and services. For instance, she is close friends with the owner of an airfield, who has taught her how to pilot aircraft. Another friend of her's is a trusted lock smith-and so on. The strangest part is Cassandra always seems to have these crazy-almost fictional-stories on how she met them. "How do I know him? Well this one time, when I was little, I was falling from the sky-" is actually how the story of where she met the airfield owner starts. It is safe to say that her stories tend to create more questions than they answer.

Weaknesses: With the amount of flash and presence Cassandra has in public and on the battlefield, she often has enemies drawn to her when she does not mean to.
She is virtually ineffective against a heavy opponent with her weapons and relies on her flexibility and mobility to get around any armor.
When in tekko-kagi form, Cassandra's weapons can be broken by the direct block of a strong attack, leaving her with kinda-sorta brass knuckle machine pistols that don't do very extensive amounts of damage, really. This forces her to stick to a flexibility-based style
Cassandra also has a knack for getting into trouble with the wrong people for the strangest of reasons as well. "This one time, I was lost in a jungle and then I stumbled onto this group of grumpy people and they had guns and there was a guy that was bleeding everywhere and was all 'he~lp me~~'.-So I did and then found out that the grumpy people standing around were actually just mean and they didn't like me and-" is how she made a deadly cartel, known for human trafficking and its main source of income being ransom, hate her.

Semblance: Energy extraction, transformation, and application. Cassandra can extract energy from something, like an electrical outlet or a fire, and use her aura to transform it into another form of energy, like sound or light, or even the other way around (from sound vibrations or light into a bolt of electricity) and use it against a target. The power of the application of the energy is dependent on the amount of energy taken from somewhere else, so she cannot take the energy from a battery and multiply it to create an amount of energy equivalent to two batteries. With her power, Cassandra cannot pull energy from any animal (humans and faunus included). She can only pull it from herself but that usually results in her becoming hungry and tired. The range of her semblance is currently at around seven yards. When she tries to push that limit for practice, it generally just pulls trace amounts of energy that do not even make it past sparking in the air. Like when someone attempts to grab an object but just touches it enough to fumble with and drop it.
An example of her semblance would be extracting energy from, say, a running microwave, and then shoot a small burst of fire at something until it was programmed to shut off. If she were to be in danger and happen to be next to a power plant, she could extract the nearby power in a six yard radius and turn it into something like a deafening screech of sound waves, directed at the threat.
Fighting Style: The Griffon: A very quick, Hung Gar-influenced style. Cassandra uses her dynamic weapons to match her dynamic style. It is referred to as 'The Griffon' because of its similarities to the Hung Gar 'Tiger and Crane' style with its larger focus on maneuverability. The style of the 'Lion and Eagle' shifts it's focus from ferocity and speed to flexibility when Cassandra changes her weapons from their tekko-kagi form to their pata-form but the fact that each part of the style is never left, just shifted in focus, is what makes it called 'The Griffon' instead of 'The Lion and Eagle'. Another trait that both sides hold is the ability for Cassandra to attempt a disarm with her curved weaponry with success heavily based upon the opponent's weapon.

WEAPONS
Name: Talon (right) and Fang (left)
Primary Form: A pair of lengthened tekko-kagi claws. On the back is a 9mm machine pistol connected to each weapon.
Secondary Form: The blades of each weapon move together and then tilt sideways to create forward-curved pata swords.

Sheaths: The sheaths of Talon and Fang are made with a slot higher on the sheath to slide the blades through after being pulled out a little under a foot. This negates the awkward angle that Cassandra would be forced to take on if she were to have to pull the entire blade out of the top and ultimately decrease wasted time.
Magazines: Cassandra can hold eight 33-round magazines (counting the two loaded ones) for her machine pistols when fully loaded. When her weapons are unsheathed, the magazines slide to point outward for easy access and fall back down when her weapons are sheathed again.
Ammunition: Cassandra always has 6 magazines of normal ammunition and two magazines of 9mm fire dust rounds at her disposal. The fire ones when she needs a fire to spread for a larger pool of energy than the fire dust itself can give.
History: After many different types of weaponry, Cassandra (now age 13) decided to make a completely new weapon design to fit her style. After Talon and Fang were created, she seemed to fit perfectly with them.
PAST WEAPON(S)
Cassandra has a large arsenal of past weapons. Her unique style always made her feel uncomfortable or lacking when she would use more normal weapons presented to her so she had to go through a lot before ultimately giving up and making one from her huge imagination.
Fawn: Cassandra's first weapon, a simple rapier.
Crescent and Crook: Dual sickle weapons.
Hook and Night: Dual wrist blades.
Prowler: A rifle with a sickle near the end of the front barrel cover.
Kelfer: A pata sword with the ability to unlock the blade and sling it around on a chain.
Life and Death: Dual arm blades with a machine pistol connected to each.
